If you are looking for "blank slate" mma characters to use that you can write anything for... I've tried to explain to Masato w/ mediocre results how there is a whole cadre of available characters to use that are not real people.

Probably a very valuable thing to have access to. But ultimately we have to be able to lampoon the famous guys if we are ever going to generate a buzz.
I explain a ltlle bit here... post11324.html#p11324
And there are no famous mma fighters. Bieber is famous. Beyonce is famous. Any of 100s of Hollywood actors and actresses and television/political personalities have more notoriety and cultural relevance.

One skit that I want to do for sure that is non MMA related is a parody music video of Tupac and Snoop Dogg's song "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted". In the chorus on that song it says "aint nothing but a gangsta party". I was thinking the parody would be "aint nothing but a gangsta potty". I haven't decided if the toilet would belong to the gangsta (gangstas potty) or if the toilet itself would be a gangsta wearing a bandana and shit.

I see your point. Thing is, MMA culture is what we happen to know. If we can create a polished, professional looking product, we will know what we are capable of. If this team can produce something special, I doubt any of us would turn down a chance to go mainstream.
I wouldn't think in terms of mainstream. Clickbait virality is the new moneymaker. If you can get a retweet from a famous personality through ego assuagement then that gets picked up by buzzfeed or some other news aggregator, you can create an audience that way.

Have Chris Brown or Justin Bieber charicatures sitting on that potty. Get their fans to react either positively or negatively... I think we're going for positive but I can go either way with it.
I'm telling you these people will retweet anything that makes them look cool.
: Potential skit right here...

penxv has some solid info here, he is right.
Problem is I don't give a fuck about Beiber or Naomi Campbell, and almost don't even want to draw any more attention to them than they already have. You are wrong that any of us would go mainstream if given the chance - I despise mainstream media/celebrity culture and have made a vow to try to counter it through my creative work, not feed it.
The goal here is not only $$, I already have a pretty good job - the goal is to try to make some $$ via creative integrity doing things that make us happy
Do appreciate your insights though penxv, keep it comin. A team of 6 artists is not always the best business model, lol

I agree with you. I was just trying to display how "current events" could be utilized to gain an audience.
