Part of the whole thing is they say Earth, Venus, and Mars were originally planets of Saturn which was a brown dwarf star whose system collided with and was overtaken by the Sun.

This collision is responsible for mass extinction events and major changes to Earth's landscape. Also the orbit of the planets was supposedly very eccentric at this point and they may have come close to earth being visible in the sky and responsible for much of what constitutes the astrologically inspired religious mythology that permeates around the world.

That's the theory in a nutshell.

I've watched this a couple of times in the past and it is a fascinating theory. Not sure if I agree about Saturn being our original Sun, but a lot of what he suggests does make seem to have some merit.
