People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.

Don't be selfish, preserve this world for the next generations.
I'll never long for what might have been
Regret won't waste my life again
I won't look back I'll fight to remain

That vid Canuckster posted has been rollin around in my head all week.
Indeed, Conspiracy-lore can become a sort of religion, in the sense that it does give an ORDER to reality. Subconsciously this is comforting and safe, as the dude suggests.
Just as a set of 10 Commandments simplifies worrying about morality, and tales of heaven and hell or 72 virgins simplifies worrying about death, or believing in a God simplifies the very questions of existence itself... likewise believing in some all-encompassing Illuminati, Secret Cabal, or putting it all under the umbrella of Satanic prophecy also SIMPLIFIES the very strange and complex reality we seem to be part of.
EVERYTHING can be seen through this NWO lens, I have experienced times myself that proves this. From the content on any given TV shows, to the products on the shelf at your local store. And watch out when confirmation bias starts kickin in!! This can also boost BOTH one's knowledge and ignorance simultaneously imo.
But is it really so? Or is this just a highly over-simplified filter that explains everything in cart-before-the-horse sort of scenario?
Beware of 'simplifying' reality, my friends... though you may find truths along the way, there is always infinitely more we have NOT seen or understood than what he have seen. And if the Universe and Reality really as so simple as to think you are seeing it 'clearly' through one brain and lifetime, well that's just silly lol
Its pretty big and wonderful folks... endless and ever-changing.
Maybe that Benwahwah-sounding motherfucker is right

alan moore has always reminded me of max igan in his speech and tonal delivery.
