Concrete countertops

Postby penxv » Thu Aug 06, 2015 12:25 am

I've been rehabbing a home for my cousin and he's going to let me put in concrete, which is something that I've been wanting to do. Will post pics.

Cool!

My wife had a concrete countertop done at her studio.... but it cracked somewhere during the process. Not sure how or why, I didn't do it myself:

Reinforce the floor underneath or you're going to crack, concrete has no room for deflection along a thin countertop.
Also the cabinet boxes need to be a bit more robust if you're doing a larger long counter, otherwise, have fun

I think I see a slight problem with your approach; You are doing everything upside down

I see you've solved the gravity problem, now to solve the concrete problem

I have to figure how I'm going to do the sink. I can go a few ways. Fucking sink is an old ass piece of shit, too.
