I find crossing 2 different design styles/genres a really cool challenge... try making something really iconic in a style of something equally iconic but totally different.

I'd say this artist succeeded, looks great:

Star Wars is very adaptable to this kind of style-crossover stuff, I have a few different threads where artists have explored similar ideas:
