Hey all
This looks cool.
With the master of Studio Ghibli retiring (Hayao Miyazaki), Studio Ghibli is looking to kickstart the next generation/evolution of their animated films
Their newest film coming out is a partnership with some studios in France and some French animator I never heard of...
Anyway, this new film is unique for 2 reasons:
1. It is a totally different style than typical Ghibli films, not the anime look
and
2. THERE IS NO DIALOGUE. Supposedly the film has ZERO dialogue and is only caried by the visual narrative and audio FX.
very bold.
Film tells the story of a man shipwrecked at sea who becomes stranded on a deserted island inhabited by turtles, crabs and birds. He learns to live in isolation, until he comes upon a woman lost at sea and begins a life with her.
Looks great:
New Ghibli film w/ France Partnership: The Red Turtle
Looks sad as shit if you ask me.

Looks like heavy metal animation
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
