3 Cheers for CubeUpload!

Postby Masato » Tue Feb 11, 2014 9:59 am

Best image upload site I have found to date.

I used to use ImageShack, then that got all buggy... then moved to TinyPic, but they added some BS security features... then moved to Imgur, but they too somehow fucked that up

Now I use CubeUpload and it is smoother/better than all of em. Drag and drop... multiple files... easy copy/pasting links... fast as fuck.

It is the best. Prove me wrong:

***EDIT: CubeUpload is DOWN, as are all the images I've posted here, ever.

you should have an FTP for this website that you can route all your own content through. get your web guy to show you

Thanks Canuckster - what would be the advantage of this vs using CubeUpload?

fast transfers, total control of content, no one will take anything down. just lke having a folder on your computer to access.

Hi Masato,

Thanks for your kind words about CubeUpload, it's always nice to hear about us getting one-up on the bigger players!

Hosting your own images via FTP gives you much more control as Canuckster mentioned, but you can quickly find yourself in trouble if your website's bandwidth allowance gets used up due to someone hotlinking your images. This can also happen if you get mentioned on Digg, Reddit and many other huge sites.

Sites like CubeUpload, Imgur and so on are specially designed to handle huge amounts of traffic, meaning your website or forums (in this case) do not incur bandwidth charges or account suspension. This can be quite damaging on a forum hosted on a free provider.

I thought I would offer some (hopefully) helpful advice in return for mentioning us on your forum :)

Tom

^^ Ya hear that, Tom (ubermensch)?

An automatic re-sizer would be BRILLIANT. 72 dpi, 10 inches wide would be a perfect size for forums.
Do it and I'll plug CubeUpload like a madman.

Interesting advice on the FTP, thanks for the tips/thanks for dropping by. You have a good product, I am happy to tell others about it.

Some further questions if I may:

1. Are you creative in any way? What do you make?
2. Do you dig the fights? / Do you know who Sakuraba is?
3. Have you ever done psychedelics or had any sort of spiritual epiphanies?
4. Are you aware the story we were told about 911 (and the subsequent 13 years) is a pile of horseshit?
5. Will you join our creative revolution?
6. Will you choose to be happy and kick ass today?

LATER!!!
