Movie recomendation: John Carter.

This high budget film based on a famous book from the 1920s was a box office flop because of poor marketing and a last minute title change for the worst. Despite the poor sales performance it was a great film.

Oh fuck, good thread. I don't even know where to begin!

I am a huge fan of movies as an artform, but lately my conspiracy-puzzling has made me very cynical about the nature of Hollywood, and am having difficulty appreciating a lot of films without seeing propaganda everywhere lol

I guess I'll post my all-time favourite film (but have a powerful bunch of runner-ups):

- I loved that movie, i love Edgar Rice Burroughss, he created one of the most iconic and awesome characters in Tarzan.( I love ecology, and Tarzan was a man ahead of his time).

Sad that i heard people told-me they didn't liked the movie because it was a Avatar knock off.

- Rocky for me is one of the greatest movie ever, Stallone got enormous charisma, and is a very talented director, the thing about his movies, it's Rocky is a guy like any other man, trying to make a life, struggling every day, like the man that has a little grocery shop and need to go to work every day to feed his family.
Rocky is this, isn't a movie about boxing, is a movie about people with boxing as a background story.

Other very good movie, that in my opinion is ageless is Lion Heart with Van Damme, sad this is a very underated movie.

I made a thread about this movie some years ago, maybe you guys know this movie:

^ whoa that looks trippy, always curious about unusual animated films (2D not 3D)

For me, Rocky 1 was always a romance movie. Its about him & Adrian, and the fight is the sub-plot

- You ever watched the The Iron Giant?
It's a very cool movie:

Maybe some day they do a live action of this gem.
A good live-action.
