Next day we went to the island of which I'm making my comic book, the one about the island full of street dogs:

It didn't disappoint, lol still the greatest place I ever saw to be a dog :D

My daughter/nephew wanted to experience scuba diving so another of my wife's cousins who dives hooked it up. I got to go too, my first time. Hurt like a sonofabitch on the ears at the start but I eventually figured it out and enjoyed approx 45 minutes underwater:

My daughter and my nephew, best buds since they were toddlers:

That's me getting ready to do that backward flip thing overboard:

Place on the beach was lit up at night when we got back. So cool, but prices were crazy high even with the canadian exchange. Hard to get drunk without spending too much, lol (my brother-in-law brought some weed :D)

Next day Mrs Masato took us to this obscure little fishing village where for a few bucks the locals would take you in a boat to a little island with a beach that is known for snorkelling.

Beautiful little village off the main road that you would never know even exists if you didn't have a local insider to show it... kids and people LIVED here, this is their life every day:

The tent was the extent of the business chartering rides to the islands:

Next day we drove to an old historic town in Rio de Janeiro state for the Missus to do some pottery hunting:

(I'll maybe make another thread 1 day in the Creative sub-forum... its pretty fun she goes hunting everywhere for ceramic studios/artists its quite interesting

This is a real place, people still actually live here, art studios, restaurants and craft shops, horses etc:

so pretty

On the way back to my wife's city we stopped at some typical rural old towns in the middle of the hills and farmlands. Life is slow here, this town was really chill and relaxing to stop for a good lunch and stroll around:

Ice Cream; just one of many things in Brasil that kicks whatever we have in Canada's ass, brutally:

Lil' Masato wanted to go back to the club for 1 more class... was supposed to be a kids class but only 1 kid showed up so they basically got a private lesson. Lil Masato scholled him but he was a cool kid and took his bumps well:

Last night before we went home, celebrating at a real Brazilian Churrasco (BBQ) Rodizio restaurant; the kind where you put a little sign on your table to indicate that you want more and they come around and carve you the choicest cuts of meat right on your plate. I ate way too much, lol

A great family

That's it!

Now back to regular life.

What a dream... can't wait to go again. Wife says next time she may show me the south of Brazil, where our man Edge G lives. Time will tell...
