She's not a bad cook so she'll come in handy.

I'm actually more worried about how I'm going to access porn when we are living in a sardine can together.

Anyway I suggest hiring a caravan and heading out to Ayers Rock for a few months.

Great idea, I'll probably do something like that first, without selling up and before we go full retard on the idea. I've known heaps of couples who move from dreary Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast to live in paradise, only to be back in Melbourne 6 months later saying they hated it, (although it always seems to be the woman who makes them return.)

I honestly never pegged Redneck for a married dude, ever. I honestly thought he was some really smart CT loner type fella, nowhere near retirement.

I like him even better now :D

I fought it for as long as I could, only got married about 5 years ago after living together forever, and I don't have any kids that I know of.

I pretty much am the loner CT type but I have someone to share the bills with.

Geez I never thought of you as retirement age Redneck. Good luck with it down the road, I'll bet you'll always find a way to enjoy your life.

Nice outfit there by the way^^.

It depends what you mean by retirement age. It' more about realizing my own mortality and currently seeing my old man deteriorate in his late 70's into something I never wan't to become, but genetics say I probably will. So, I figure I probably got 20-25 years tops before it's all over and I'm asking myself why do I need to push myself so hard in my career etc, when I should be trying to reduce the headfucks in my life and do something I might actually enjoy for once.

There was a book recently released which interviewed hundreds of people on their death beds about their life, regrets etc.

Not one of them said that they wished they had worked more, or worked harder. Every one of them said that they wished they'd been able to do more stuff that they wanted to to, without worrying about what other people might say.
