Amazing, right??

But didn't they do that over 40 years ago (1969)? Didn't they not just go to the moon and back, but actually LAND, get out of their craft, walk around, play golf, and drive a jeep?

Why by any stretch of the imagination should this be a difficult or impressive feat for Elon Musk to accomplish?

Exactly. It would be a miracle to do something we did 50 years ago no sweat several times with narry a hiccup. If it looks, smells and tastes like a bunch of bullshit, it's probably a bunch of bullshit. How rich would Elon Musk be without Government subsidies? He's a billionaire welfare queen.

Ya why would government be suddenly investing in private space tech, when they have been funneling TRILLIONS into NASA for decades?

And by doing so, they kind of got humiliated, this Tesla Car stunt looks way cooler than anything NASA has boasted for a hella long time

NASA to me has always looked like a charade, a front for mountains of secret black operations and financing

Making a shift to suddenly supporting privates like Musk is kind of a weird move imo, worthy of pondering and keeping an eye on.

I'd like to see a rebuttle to the 'no stars' observation. There has been considerable controversy over this over the history of NASA space travel, some astronauts say you can see lots, some astronauts say you can't see them, others (like Neil Armstrong and co for example) seem confused at the question and 'can't quite recall' lol

Shoudn't this be a relatively easy question to answer scientifically?

I suppose its just an aperature thing, no? To capture stars you have you open the camera longer to let more light in. Probably not the best setting for filming the car and earth...

NASA can't even get to the space station by themselves, which is only a few hundred kilometers away.

50 years ago, they went to the moon and back whenever they felt like it no sweat. They drove around on the moon, they played golf, whatever they felt like doing. Going to the moon in 1969 was like going to Hong Kong. Nowadays, they can't get to the space station on their own, oh, and all the moon landing stuff they did? Yeah they taped over that, whoops. NASA was a money drain that can't be used anymore to siphon out huge money, so now it's Elon Musk, the new miracle man, that can almost do stuff we did 50 years ago. Let's dump Trillions there. Good stuff!
