When I was just a little kid (maybe 9/10 years old?) my parents took us on this gnarly 9-day hike. One spot was a very tricky trail with a huge steep drop on one side, maybe 100 ft down or more.
I was hiking in front and I slipped, was about to go over but my dad did the dad-reflex moves like in that vid ^^^ and pushed me back on the trail, sacrificing himself and he went over. We watched him fall/slide the whole way down, my mom screaming, but somehow he was OK, we lowered a rope and he climbed back up but that moment will forever be burnt into my memory, in a split second he was willing to give his life for mine, not even a moments thought.
So cool
Thanks Dad!!
