I wonder how history wiil treat Kissinger. He, along with Nixon, opened up up China to the west. Almost every thing we buy today is from China. Ebay and Amazon (and now Temu) have paved the way to buy cheap goods from the East and sending enormous amounts of US dollars. At least with the Middle East we are making a conscious effort to reduce our dependence on petroleum and hopefully ease our financial efforts in that direction. But with China the money keeps on flowing...much of the US national debt is owned by China. They've used this money to modernize the navy and airforce to create tensions in the contest waters south and their planes are constantly challenging ours.
What's the solution short-term and long-term??????
