R3, laflare getting agressive, hasnt landed anything significant tho. Lands a few leg kicks, Maia shoots, stufffd, by laflare, maia goes for another shot, gets reversed! Laflare on top. Maia goes for a leg lock, lafy gets out, maia shoots gets the TD. Gets mount! Crazy skills by Maia. Lafy kiks off the cage to escape, Maia gets mount again, 1 min on the clock. End of R3.
Im surprised Maia hasnt subed him yet, lets see if Laffy's gas tank holds up.
LOL Laflare just did a wrestling shoot and threw a combination to the body in the midway part when he was on his knees.
Maia gets another TD. Gets mount again. Lands some nice gnp. 2 mins on the clock. Laflare wont win this fight, but it will be a nice feather in his cap if he spends 25 mins with maia mounted him without getting subbed. Oh maia has an arm triangel. he might get it. Ohhhh....... ... ... ... Laflare gets out! He was about to go out. and the round ends.
Last round, Lafy actually doesnt look gassed at all. He is coming forward throwing bombs, most missing though. Maia went for a TD. Crazy scramble, lafy stops it, stops another, Maia actually looks pretty tired. Laflare lands a nice combo with a big body kick. Maia pulls guard and laflare gets out. Lafy lands a nice left hook, maia shoots, gets reversed and laflare ends on top. They stand up, maia takes a lazy shot LAFLARE NAILS HIM WITH A KNEE ON THE WAY IN! Maia is holding his stomach in pain, he stands and lafy is stalking him, maia is running, shoots another td and maia gets it this time. 50 seconds left. Lafy holding on trying not to get subd. He reverses maia, they stand. its over.
This will be a good learning experience for laflare, he will come back better a clear win for Maia tho.
Pretty cool event, what did you guys think of it?

I actually watched most of the main card. The Burns vs Oliveira fight was entertaining.
Congrats to Maia as well.

I didn't know you guys did event threads here. I miss the old event night threads at Fightsport, they were fun.
I'll try to remember to stop by next time!

- Kevin beat Kikuno.
Very good victory for Kevin, this will put him on the next step.
Godofedro Castro brought back the triangle too:
I love Maia(no romo of course), he need's a new strenght and conditioning coach tought.
Good event, with a lot of submissions, Sherdoggers say it's because the fighters are low-level, the dumbasses forget that we have top jiu-jitsu guys at every corner.
Good to see Eric Silva getting a victory, but i like Koshek and don't wanted to see him going out that way.
Very good event after all, and for free.
