People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.

At least in advertising, I know this is how it works. The ad agencies hire Copywriters who have great ideas and can play well with words (but not necessarily good visual skills), and then they hire Art Directors, who obviously think well in visual language.
Then they pair them together. For fucking life, lol
I'm serious, its really creepy. Ad Agencies pair up their talent in 2's: Copywriter & AD. And they STAY TOGETHER. They share a room, they work together all day every day, for YEARS. I always wondered why they don't switch them up for variety but they don't, unless a pair really cannot get along. What's weird is that this seems to actually work. I worked at a big ad agency for 3 years and saw all the different pairings, and they all were pretty fuckin good teams. Some had been together for over a decade etc. I watched these 2 kids fresh out of college get paired together in 1999 and they are STILL TOGETHER, even though they are at a different agency, and imo they are the best fuckin team in the city.
Honestly, these teams spend more time together than they do with their spouses. LOL Its like a marriage, you have to learn to handle the other partner's shit I suppose. I remember one new Art Director they hired, I got to know him a bit right away; he had just gotten married a short while ago, was expecting his first baby etc... and after a week or so they paired him with this ridiculously hot Copywriter. I remember the look on his face, he couldn't decide if he was in heaven or hell lol
I am obviously not suggesting we do this, what. :D
I would like to knock out a few ideas with you sometimes though. Pitch me your fucked up visions bro
