yeah, a lot of talk of this at my BJJ club too.

Smart folk will understand that UFC is 1/2 sport and 1/2 entertainment.

The only problem I see is big-name celebrities signing up for single-fights for a guaranteed payday. The Rock for example, if waning in Hollywood offers, could fake his way in for an easy fight and get paid MILLIONS for a few minutes in the octagon win or lose. UFC would be fools not to sign it and hype it, mofos will rush to watch it, and repeat.

How would they resist this influx of established celebrities waltzing in for a payday?
