I read somewhere he has serious anxiety issues and the weed fixes him up. As far as throwing his career away, kudos to him for standing by his ideals instead of letting himself be crushed by the status quo. People need to stand up for what they believe.
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
