Post-Christmas rolls today..!

felt much better than I anticipated, had energy for way more than we did. Got to roll with a local legend Judo/BJJ black belt.

Some guys in my club received their brown belts last week, super stoked for them. Was surprised however that some white belts didn't get their blues.

My coach keeps telling me to make a journal to write stuff down in after class, think I may start a thread here for that

Do you guys take supplements for recovery? If so, what?

I only take whey protein but I feel like I should be taking something for my joints too.

- I take Zinco, vit D3 and a vitamin complex.
Will star taking chondroitin and Glucosamin. Too much back aches after tkd training.

Very fun and interesting. A deceptive art... easy to rip on at first glance, but I think there is much that is likely surprisingly effective, especially against untrained opponents. One of the teachers is a bouncer, a purple belt in BJJ and a lifetime of other martial arts, and through all that experience he still has tons of respect for Aikido and trains it tons, says it has worked in several real life situations. That should say something imo

The 2 teachers were both really solid, hard to move but when they step in you are going for a ride, lol I even got to do the 'multiple attackers' thing, lol

Plus its just really fun. I can see why people like it. I will stick to BJJ though.

I still say the best MA for real life street is probably just straight up boxing.

1st class back after some serious holiday slacker time. Been eating and drinking plenty but I did a hard 2 hours easily with gas left in the tank. Weird, I was worried it would be hard but I felt good.

Nice variety of rolls from 1 with my black belt coach (always astounding) to some competitive purples to a white. There is a blue there that got his belt same time as mine, but he's really good and strong and trains hard. If I can not get absolutely crushed by him I'm happy, but today I did really well even got his back and won a few scrambles

Good class, looking forward to keeping the momentum for 2018.

Lil' Masato is looking fantastic, lol he hit some new level and everyone is commenting what a beast he is. I wish I had half his guard, lol Dads are trying to get me to take him to Cali for the PanAms but I ain't got time or money for that
