I want to roll your coach

All the White belts are gunning for me these days, lol

They are all pissed because none of them got their blue at the last promotion (speculation). Coach gave it to this new playboy kid though who just showed up, that musta hurt lol

Anyway they see I'm older and not so strong and still a relatively fresh blue, so they all wanna beat me to prove they are worthy to move to blue. At least that's what I figure, especially this one big young kid

They haven't got me yet ;)

^It's very real. You are the gatekeeper now.

I'd advise focusing on Guard Recover and Retention for a month or two. If you want to keep experimenting with new offense like your Bolo game you will make mistakes.

These guys are going to want to smash you, and when they get past your guard they won't let up; they'll try to hold you down for as long as possible to increase their chances of coach looking over to see that they're out positioning you.

I remember seeing your belt-promotion pic. You're pretty tall right? 5'11" 170 lbs?

^ I never posted a belt promotion pic, least I don't think so

I'm a bit bigger, 6 foot, 180-190lbs (not all muscle, lol)

I am honestly having fun with it because I really don't care if they get the better of me sometimes, I'm too old for ego stuff. Most days I'm just there to learn and play, almost never actually trying to win a roll or compete, I have no issues tapping anywhere. But it keeps me on my toes, I think mentally it has improved my game because its forcing me to play as smart as I know how. Its fun imo, shutting them down feels great but they are really not far behind I expected them all to get blues and was surprised they didn't. I'm actually looking forward to it, right now there's only 2 other blue belts I regularly see but in a year (or less) we will have a whole crew of em, I think it will be more fun when we are on a more even playing field

^ Maybe it was a pic of your coach getting his Belt. I remember you looking rBST Korean-American tall.

I'm glad you're not taking rolling too seriously. I was just giving advice on maintaining your competitive edge in the gym because it's a good opportunity to learn new skills and push yourself to the next level.
