Pacquiao Horn Robbery

Postby Masato » Mon Jul 03, 2017 1:33 am

Hey all

I didn't watch the fight but apparently some more boxing judging shenanigans went on last night...

This Horn kid comes out of nowhere, somehow gets a fight with Pac, everyone seems to be in agreement that he lost, yet the judges give him a UD

I'm not sure what the judges were thinking, but I do know that there was a rematch clause in the original contract, and that Bob Arum was involved in the promotion. I think this was done to build two big PPV's out of this match up, I think Manny will take the rematch more seriously and train harder to regain his crown.

What were the betting odds?

Horn was paying 4-1 for a win.

The people who think Pacquiao got robbed are the ones who were listening to Teddy Atlas' ridiculous commentary. I watched the fight with the British commentators and it was clearly a back and forth war, not the one sided robbery that Atlas made it out to be. The story of this fight was not that Pacquiao should have won, its that Pacquiao looked old and gassed, which we have never seen before. Either he didn't take the fight seriously or he is shot.
