- I dont indentifie myself with a side like left and right. But people here are being very naive to thing that our pseud socielist care about or poor people. They fail to see that whats move the economy of a country is the private sector. Or natural ressources are being sold by peanuts value!

A contry without jobs cant creat a economy and help all the people, the rich will want to become more rich and creat jobs or are just entrepreneurs trying to seek that internal flame. But right now, theres isnt anything that atract someone to start a business here on Brasil. Starting a business is hard and closing one is more hard.

Here where i live, several stores have closed and we have ahuge economy here, we dont have fabrics but our tourism, or stores and our gastronomy atracts people. But even here that was a safe place is floode with criminals, because since we have a better economy they come here to steal and assault. Criminals need to be punished. There are people here that dont have theopotunitys that i had, and i recom that, i can understand a man that is forced to take a gun and assault a store because he doesnt have food to give to his family. I just dont bellieve that our politicans care about those people and they lie to makethe other people bellieve their care.

Doesnt matter the politic ideology that we identifi ourselfs. The more important thing is the walkout of therole we are now. A better economyhere will means a better economy in south-america! We cant help the people from other countrys that come here with theyr families in search of a better life. We cant even help ourself.

Of course that we have people here that will side with Bolsonaro and use violence or people that side with Haddad and use violence. In the end humans will find pretests to kill themselves because a diferent football t-shirt or a accent!

Thanks Edge, quality insights.

Sometimes I don't think Brasilians think very far outside their borders, they tend to see the world as only Brasil and the rest of the world might as well be on the moon

But you are right, how a country appears to the rest of the world and other investors/traders etc is key.

I also agree that PT probably doesn't care as much for the poor as they claim. But even if they were, is Brasil really rich enough to start massive socialist programs? If they shared all the wealth with the poor you would have nothing left fast lol

For those not following, no one won a majority (more than 51%), so they will have a 2nd round of voting for the 2 top parties in a few weeks.

The choice is now a ruthless/extremist right wing guy vs a socialist workers party. Apparently many families are being torn apart on Facebook over this choice, lol :D

A valuable lesson from Colombia: never have an economy reliant on primary resources.

Not surprised

The trend of reactionary right wing politics is spreading around the globe!

Whether this is a natural organic process as a result of globalists/socialists taking things too far, or some larger orchestrated agenda is an interesting question imo

My sister-in-law and parents-in-law are both here in my house now, they were all glued to the elections, following everything. (my wife doesn't give a fuck, lol) Big fights among brasilians themselves, Facebook is apparently a war-zone lol my sister-in-law is deleting friends by the dozens lolol

My father-in-law found some stats that brasilians living in other countries almost all voted for Bolsonaro EXCEPT for brasilians living in Russia, Cuba, Venezuela and other leftist-leaning countries. I also wonder if these stats are accurate, or doctored to reflect the idea that the world is splitting into another axis vs allies type scenario. I've also found some interesting bits that Bolsonaro is super-supportive of Israel, which imo is an important factor to consider.

Saw footage of the Military Parade in Rio after the results, people are going crazy for it. I worry for all those brasilians once again putting their faith in a politician to change their lives/make the country better. This is the trick of all politics imo

Will be interesting to see how much actually changes. Hope for the best of course, but I can't say I'm expecting much.

Another chink in the armour of the globalists.

Or....are they intentionally nurturing the rise of Nationalism in order to force a major reversal after a few years of dividing the people?

^^ my thoughts exactly

Great to see you around again Redneck, always dig your perspectives

I've been highly suspecting the latter as of late. It would be a perfectly sensible gameplan imo

Look into Bolsonaro's relations with Israel/Netanyahu.
