I think this temporary truce hurt the IDF more than HAMAS since it gave time to hide and move the remaining hostages and plant more boobytraps...it was a tactical advantage for the terrorists????

It looks like Israel is planning on a long-term occupation of the Gaza Strip. Even after formal hostilities are over I expect the IDF to continue destroying HAMAS tunnels and other such structures and most likely have special military squads amongst a huge military presence there to hunt any remaining HAMAS soldiers (which will probably take years to finish). The Gaza Strip will be one huge concentration camp full of squalor and misery.
