Well, not fake... obviously its amazingly real.
But as I understand it was a private project, not hired by Lucasfilm or anything. There was likely a pitch involved who knows what went down but it was not picked up, not being made into a real series.
Fun to watch though, check it:
Fake Indiana Jones Animated Series Trailer
Its a bit stale imho... kind of flat.
If you notice, almost every single shot is from the same angle. Good storyboarding, especially for action, should push the variety of shots
But the accomplishment of this vid cannot be denied, they finished it up well. Here is the director's website:

- I`ve never thought about that before. But they never tried a Indiana Jones animated series, even when Steven Spielberg Amblin`s Entertainment was putting out some amazing cartoons on the 90`s.
Edit, pretty good style of animation, look`s like a 90`s animation movie. Got nostalgic watching the cartoon.

dynamic storyboarding in animation does not increase costs
I have learned to hate spielberg but damn if he didn't do certain films like the Indy series perfectly.
Except the last one, that sucked.
There was a show called the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles some decades ago... I watched a few thought it was interesting but never really followed up. Its a great character. The best part of the OP vid is where he walks into the classroom at the end.
