Couldn't fit the full frame in the crevice so I halved it.

Drywall hung. Dremelled the edge to flatten it. Corner bead.

So for this staircase, the most efficient thing to do is shore up the framing on the lower platform (which wasn't supported well) Demolish the upper platforms replace them with a set of stringers. And then demolish the wall in front of the bottom of the staircase. The thing that I was least sure of was finding the correct angle to cut the stringers... because i have never done that before. If I was more sure of myself for that step, I could have finished today, I think. But I'll finish tomorrow and then it'll be ready for drywall.
