Just got an Intuos Pro. Good or bad choice? Want to get back into drawing and want to check out using a pen stylus for stuff. If i don't like it, i have 2 weeks to return it

interesting reply. Will have to get used to using this. Its a bit different. I think I need to set some of these buttons up or something. I was wondering if I should draw on a tablet that is hooked up to the desktop or something but this thing seems nice

How difficult is it to transition to an external tablet. It seems like it would be unnatural to me to draw on the tablet while looking at the screen to see what I'm doing. I guess it's no more unnatural than using a mouse, but it just sounds odd to me. I have an old Windows tablet which has a digitizer pen with pressure sensitivity, which works really well in GIMP drawing on the screen itself, but it has a pretty slow dual core Atom processor, so it barely runs GIMP and can't run Photoshop at all. I've been thinking about upgrading to a Surface Pro 3, but if I could use an external tablet with my current laptop, it would save me about $700.

I'm telling you guys, stop fuckin around and make the switch.

I have not TOUCHED a mouse since 2001. Its way more natural. I think its better on your hands too (carpel tunnel or whatever).

Also, its GREAT for shooping, because you can zoom in and 'erase' to cut things out, and you can brush/clone in details where you need. I honestly can't imagine how anyone shoops with a mouse.

I suggest however not to use the small size. The medium (I think they are something like 9x12) is the best, very natural to use. I have also used the huge ones and I don't see the hype. The small ones feel like shit though.

Works in a way I didnt think it would with it tracking the pen while it closely hovers over it. Pretty fast compared to using a mouse. Cuts heads out at lightning speed. Was able to take Robert Deniros head off super fast with accuracy.

It doesn't take long at all to get the hang of it. lightning fast indeed
