Re: Anyone interested in a group fitness challenge?
So my boss gave us a training session on kettlebells yesterday. Apparently he's a certified kettlebell guy. Turns out out I've been doing KB swings wrong the whole time. When done right it's amazing for cardio and conditioning Since I haven't been to BJJ in over 2 months, and that's been my cardio for years, I think I've found my new thing to do in between lifting days.

hmmm. Never assume your potential client is a broke fuck like yourself. so don't start with the discounts and shit early on.
Always try to create an emergency, like, yo this promotion only lasts until next week... better lock in the current price before it goes up, Kinda contradicts point 1 but oh well.
Potential clients don't care how nice your gym is or how awesome you are as a coach. Their main concerns are time, location, and needs.
Learn what gyms are located in every neighbourhood. So when clients say, well there's a xyz gym by my house, you can offer a reasonable rebuttal.
Approach a potential client as if they're a hot chick you wanna bang. You don't wanna just talk about the gym and how knowledgeable you are in working out. Have normal conversations with them first, like hey, what sports do you play? That's great! who's your favourite team? etc
shit like that.
This sounds like a fun job. I would keep notes of clients to personalize their sessions and show them that I keep track of their progress.
Funny I don't have any lifting clients yet. i have like 1 BJJ and a few boxercise clients. Must be my shaved head they think I look like a fighter, lol

I understood I remember you said you gave them BJJ classes earlier in the thread. I think you have an advantage here though because there are tons and tons of regular PTs for lifting. Hell I would pay for BJJ lessons to help me come back to speed as fast as possible, it's been 14 years since I did BJJ. What belt do you have in BJJ?

I actually said it because of personal experience. I stopped training BJJ because I moved and the club close to new home was a rip off (long story) and I started muay thai instead with gym. Then 12 years ago I thought I'll get back to BJJ and do it all and went to a gym that did privates, that was the biggest scam ever, the guy couldn't remember what we did 3 days ago and would start talking like a video recording repeating the exact same words as the previous session. That relationship couldn't end worse and he died recently of cancer.

Since working at this job, I've noticed there's way more hot chicks in HK than say 10 years ago. Gym culture is way more prevalent than it ever was. Mostly due to Instagram I reckon. Everyone now wants to look good for IG. I'm not complaining.
So its not as my old mate hellfire would say "full of turnip heads"?
Says the turnip head himself, lol.... what happened to that guy? did he get banned by masato who never bans anyone?

I\m brown. And it sucks right now cuz i was gunning for black before i turn 55. I don't know when I can get back to training regularly... hopefully within half a year. I never chased belts, but now as a 52 yr old fucker, damn right i want my black before 55!
