OK I'm back from Austin Texas!
Not a lot to tell, I was there for 1 week but 6 of the 7 days I was just taking the training courses and going back to the hotel.
Was trying to save money so I kept eating out/ubers/entertainment to a minimum.
When I got there, I turned on the TV in the hotel. The very first thing I saw was a hotdog eating contest, which was maybe one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen lol. Yet the production value was as good as any other major sporting event, it was like a legit thing.
Americans are weird, lol
I also saw SELF-DRIVING UBERS all over the place. I had no idea, I thought this kind of thing was still in prototype mode but Austin is full of them, you see them all over. Sometimes a passenger inside with no driver, sometimes there is no one in the vehicle at all, but they just cruise around.
SO weird. I wanted to ride in one but I couldn't figure out how to book it and I don't like a lot of app stuff to learn.

A beautiful facility. This was just the lounge area, I should have taken more pics and vids of the place it was very impressive. The newest studios to workout, a brand new 3-storey building etc. I got to see where they film all the classes/exercises that go up on the TVs all around the world. Even got to meet some of the models on the screens.
Got to meet other F45 Owners and Managers from several different states, one couple from Dominican Republic. Super interesting to get to know them all, made some friends.
Also got an afternoon with the F45 CEO, he took over a few years ago and is working hard to level the whole franchise up. Making some partnerships with some huge brands, refreshed the whole branding and trying to make it a much bigger and more famous company. I think he will succeed.
New branding/state of the art training studio:
On the last day I treated myself to a short evening into the city.
I wanted mostly to see the Capitol Building.
It is HUGE!!!!! Bigger than I expected. I thought it would be simiar to maybe the Parliament building in Victoria BC but it dwarfs it.
I don't know what's up anymore with all these Tartaria theories but it sure is mind boggling to try to conceive how they got those massive stone columns up like 200 feet into place. Each one was like 4-5 feet thick and 30 feet high (guessing). How the fuck do you do that back in the 1800's when everyone was riding around in horses and wagons?
An Uber driver told me it was built with slave labour but that still doesn't make sense. Slaves were not skilled stone masons, nor did they have Herculean strength, yet there it is, absolutely perfect and mathematically tight, maybe millions of tons of stone hundreds of feet in the air.
It looks brand new, every inch of it is flawless from what I could see.
I was a little disappointed I was too late to get inside, I wanted to see the interior of that dome pretty bad but oh well
These were cool. Talked to 1 old Texan lady at the hotel for a while, she was very proud to say that Texas is still in some capacity a REPUBLIC, and not quite the same as other 'democratic' states. Freedom has a slightly different meaning down there it seems
Then I went to 6th street, which is the district famous for nightlife and live music. It didn't disappoint. I did like 10 laps of the street lol just peeking into all the bars, every one had top quality live music it was amazing
This band was my favourite, though this short clip doesn't do him justice. I took some longer videos but Imgur doesn't let me upload them.
But please believe me, this dude could play guitar like a motherfucker. He would solo like I was watching Stevie Ray Vaughn or something, no joke.

The people there are SUPER friendly. Everyone says hello.
At the restaurant/bar at the hotel I ended up chatting and having some great conversations with people every night. So easy.
Not afraid to talk politics or even religion.
The only disappointing thing was that 2 older folks I talked to were completely brainwashed about Israel.
They were not Jewish, but went on and on praising Israel. 1 older woman was a hardcore Christian, yet admitted to me that her church prays for Israel every week, and she sincerely believed that the Jews are 'God's Chosen People'.
When I brought up Gaza, she just repeated how Hamas is using them as human shields, and it's not Israel's fault.
She was 100% anti-Globalist, and admitted that the news is all fake, immigration around the world = warfare on European/Christian countries etc, yet was completely oblivious to the connections these issues have to Zionist Israel.
She had never heard of the Talmud.
I could see early there was no changing her mind so I didn't push it. She bought me a drink, gave me some pamphlet about St Michael, and a warm hug for the night
Anyways that's it. Back home now
I learned so much at the F45 Training it's a bit of an overload. I have lots of homework to do, learning curve is still going straight up lol, but I think we will be OK.
We inherited an absolute kickass manager that is keeping the thing going while we figure it all out. Classes are packed every day.
Upon return I am even more happy with my decision. The brand is awesome, I did a workout every day mon-fri and they are really quite amazing.
45 minutes you get a serious full body workout. Classes are different every day, a range of resistance and cardio.
Very impressed, I would honestly recommend to anyone.
It's nice that I actually believe in the product, and not just doing it for income. This product is really helping a lot of people, everyone in the classes seems to love it. Membership retention is high.
Mrs Masato and I are doing the classes regularly now and I can already see huge improvements in my strength and conditioning.
Looking forward to seeing how it affects mu jiu jitsu training, as I'd been slacking pretty bad for a while cuz my body was feeling really old and busted. Now I'm pumped and finally believe that I can pick it up again.
