The protein I used to get (ON Gold Standard) was HKD400 for 5 lbs up until about 2 years ago. Now it's $595. Thinking of just getting more protein from food, and go on Creatine instead, as that is still relatively cheap.

That's the decision I made. Ordered creatine today. I'll just add raw eggs to my oatmeal.

Ill send you some protein powder, do you have a fixed address or is there a local red cross shleter I can send it to for pick up? ill send you 1kg of whatever is on special and see how you go with it

Anabolic resistence is a real thing as we hit middle age, gotta get loads of protein in

I'll check with a buddy of mine. I technically live at my former boss's place, but she's not aware of that. Cheers.

OK just PM me the details and ill send you some, its gone up in price here too but nowhere near what these guys are reporting

Lunch was a quarter roast chicken and a bag of raw spinach, skim flat white with a satchel of equal, dinner was a pan fried lamb chop, peas and 150g of cooked pasta and now having an orange. Funny how quick we adjust, I look forward to my fruit like I used to look forward to my chocolate at night

Yes although it's not a life or death matter

One possible clue to why I have a shit bench besides the shoulder injury is that when I begin to fail my left leg straightens and foot comes off the ground. Any ideas?

I'd like to see a video first. Do you have any powerlifting gyms or powerlifting team around? They might be able to help.

According to google, yes, this is a real thing. Apparently since the bicep muscle stretches from your shoulder to your radius, it gets strained at the very bottom part of the bench press motion. Probably not a coincidence that today I was doing especially long pause reps and exploding out of them. The issue is also known to be associated with high volume, so also clearly the nature of my program has played a role as well. On the bright side this feels a lot more like muscle soreness than it does like tendonitis, so hopefully its healed within a day and doesnt linger on. I tried to maintain proper balance and not compensate with the other side of my body. Apparently your forearms should be perpendicular to the floor at the bottom of the lift, which means my grip is half an inch narrower than is ideal. I will have to study this though before implementing any change.

I get that too and in the forearms. Gets worse if I don't train biceps and just do heavy compound exercises. I think the strain on the shoulder joint also contributes to this pain.

Yeah I do ive trained at 2 differebt PL and strongman gyms, its not my thing man too cultish for me and getting a big bench isnt THAT important to me but id still like to improve it since its my weakest lift/movement chin ups are another major issue. My humerous tuberosity head was sitting on the front of my rib cage when I dislocated it many years ago and I just worked around it rather than proper treatment and rehab so its fucked

Ill PM you a vid when I get a chance, forgot to mention im not on FB anymore so cant add you I just dont do social media these days closest is this place

Good I live on chicken now it seems, also bought some "smart pasta" which has 25 percent less carbs and 18g of protein a serve and only allow myself one serve a day less than a serve actually. Both my kids live with me full time so cooking is a bit of a challenge but im getting there.

I hold all my weight in my gut always have, well the fat at least so its going to be a cunt to try and get right of that. The surgeon who fixed my hernia even commented on hot much fat I have underneath the abdominal wall lol If I flex my gut is rock hard very little fat over the abs

Make the kids help with the cooking, cleaning et.c.

Visceral fat is a sign of insulin resistance, same with having disproportionate fat around the waist. Just a thing to keep in mind with your meal planning and munching carbs.
