It's a trillion dollar industry that markets fear and ends in suffering, in every case I have witnessed, which is plenty.
I tried to check the efficacy of treatments. There's nothing. The profits of treatments? There's plenty. What a racket.
- It's a profit industry. We don't wan't our beloved ones dying, being a dog, a uncloe, a son. And the industry know that, but i bellieve that are people working to make world a better place, sadly they are going agaainst a very powerfull industry.
In my opinion, the whole of western culture is totally twisted when it comes to death.
We are told in all our movies and entertainment that death is the absolute worst thing ever; scary images, always a threat to the protagonist, and the ultimate justice for the bad guys in the end.
We fight it to the bitter end, and see it as a tragedy. Medicine Industry is like a 'War on Death' constantly trying to elude it, prolong it, fight it, stop it.
Technology strives to overcome it, whether by cryogenics, artifical/regenerative organ stem cell stuff, organ transplants, etc.
We pretend it won't happen to us, and ignore the reality that it happens to each and every one of us.
I think this is really fucked up. Death is part of Life. I don't mean that in a cheesy way, I mean it is literally part of what it means to exist. It is part of this journey, and it puts all our living moments into a grand perspective. If there is any sort of life after death, it is a spectacular and absolutely crucial part of what we are. etc etc If we love life and humanity we need to also embrace this side of the coin, in fact in many ways it is precisely what makes the living days so precious
Its boggling to me how afraid we are culturally about a very essence of ourselves. Its like being terrified of you own left foot lol. IMO we should prepare for it well, make peace with its reality and face it with as much wisdom as we can. When the time comes don't freak out and panic, we may attempt to treat it to a degree but after a point its time to have courage and begin the transformation imo, not make yourself sick trying to escape it to the bitter end.
