The Nostalgic TV Opening Credits Thread

Postby Masato » Tue Sep 30, 2014 1:55 pm

Hey all

Post your nostalgic opening credit intros from your favourite shows from when you were young... (before you learned about TV propaganda, lol), no matter how terrible, cheesy, or embarrassing :)

I'll start with a few, (not necessarily my top shows):

FUCK Freinds

the rest are great
:D

I was a huge fan of the Fresh Prince right around the time he got that show, when he used to be 'DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince'. I thought they were hilarious, and Jeff was actually a really badass DJ, but never imagined he would get a TV show (I was one of the only people in my town who listened to rap at the time, I thought I was on the fringe)

I couldn't believe when this show actually happened, and was completely blown away how good it actually was. Then his career just too off from there.

He is a talented dude for sure. Feel bad for Jeff though, lol

- THey used to show this cartoon on the sundays.
Nothing like seeing criminals on the receiving end of a ass whoping.

Another great cartoon:

Heathcliff:

Ducktales:

I listen to Heathcliff theme and the ducktales one quite frequently.
Donald Duck is a actual badass.

Yeah those Batman / Superman cartoons were AMAZING.

The style was so well-directed, so controlled and specific. Also amazing stories, great storyboarding, top animation.

Maybe some of the highest quality TV animation ever

- They were veru good shows, got a lot of awards.
The Teenage Mutant ninja turtles from 2003 was a very good cartoon to, and the Amazing Spider-man from 2007.

Other good cartoons were the Warner\steven spielberg ones like Animaniacs.

Here are 3 songs that are all kind of similar.. (soft, gentle tunes)
I liked all of these shows growing up:

MASH was a genius show. A Drama disguised as a Comedy:

TAXI had a nice little ditty goin for it:

And of course the great song that made us think that watching TV was the same as going out with real friends, lol
