In the village of Erriadh on the Tunisian island of Djerba, also known as the Island of Dreams, artist Mehdi Ben Cheikh organized 150 Street Artists from 30 different countries and set them free.
The project is called 'Djerbahood'... though I don't know what this word means
Very cool.

Pretty cool. Wonder how and why this whole thing was set up.
My wife and her business partner want to try to make a similar project in the town they work in. They are opening an art school, and are planning to get grants from the city to hire mural artists to do up all the big bare walls in the downtown core.
Ireland has a lot of murals... just about all of them having to do with the struggle with England. Most murals in the Republic of Ireland are pro-independence and IRA, most in Northern Ireland are pro-UK.
Here's some pictures of some I took when I was over there in 2010 for college.

^ dude those are amazing.
I had an irish friend one time who told me the differences between the 2 'Irelands', and I was always enthralled at the stories. I need to learn more about this in history.
I was just watching a documentary of something else, and they mentioned some things about Irish/English conflicts I'd never heard. Also I remember SInead O'connor saying lots of strong things about the misconceptions but I never knew enough to understand.
I just figured it was the Monarchy fucking over poor people again, lol - but there is always more than that
Weird to see murals like that, they are quality/beautiful

attack is the wrong word.
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
