when I was a little raskal I would have thought 40s/50s to be OLD.....even anything beyond 20s would have probably seemed OLD

Life Expectancy has increased, or has it really and we are just under the DELUSION that it has?

another observation is that it seems aging and issues related to aging cause people a lot of suffering as they begin to hear and realize the ticking of the biological clock and its impact on potential for hopes, dreams, success and all that.

does the more recent social attitude of "___ is the new ___" attitude cause suffering?

I'm not suggesting one should "give up" and start wearing short-pants with long black socks or tucking his shirt into his sweat-pants for his morning Mall Walks but what is a reasonable evolution for aging and how does one age in a reasonable way? Should a man who is in his 40s/50s or older be dating a woman young enough to be his daughter/gran-daughter? Should a man in his late-20s/30s be "clubbing" with people in or barely out of teen years?

of course everyone ages differently and Artistic types can have a youthful quality into OLD age and there are Triathletes who look good/athletic into their 50s but is it reasonable for them to be gallivanting around like they are still 20s?

I am glad I am married to be honest.

To go through such a midlife transformation and yet also be on the hunt for a woman (or unhappy in one's relationship, which I am not) I think would be kinda crazy lol

I don't have to worry so much about all that, I can keep my midlife crisis a bit more grounded/simple

unfortunately for men.....due to hormones, our women seem to trend more masculine as they age as related to some lack of youthful estrogen....ever notice how women start to look kind of gender-neutral or even somewhat masculine in the OLD age? Some of them even begin to grow WHISKERS!

not that OLD men are all that desirable either and we can observe even in OLDman celebs that the young/old relationships rarely workout and I imagine that soon as the young tart experiences the OLDman reality then she chooses the more tempting option of the ALIMONY Queen

Religion, Spirituality, Meditation....these things will be of great benefit to the aging gentleman. I have no interest in being seduced and bamboozled by some young tart seeking to secure for herself an ALIMONY QUEEN situation. And as we have observed in the recent Social Immorality, it's just not good for society if we engage in promiscuous debauchery.

I recognize the name "Woody Allen" as being associated with the entertainment industry.....beyond that I really know nothing about him. As for the pics; the movie from which those pics are from is a humorous movie related to the topic of the thread, note the topics of black-socks and old-man/young-woman relationship and so were posted to add a bit of light-hearted humor example to the discussion of aging
