This came up in my youtube after I watched this, frankly this scene is amazing with this music
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.

My wife and I just watched it not too long ago, that's Stephen King's only directorial effort, it was beat up hard by critics.
There's actually a remake made for tv in the 90s called trucks, which isn't horrible. Maximum overdrive is based on a short story he wrote called trucks which both movies are based on.

I though Maximum Overdrive was great. I was aware King directed it, which impresses me more since he was a noob director.
I thought it had a strong original flavour to it, kept it's charm to the end, crafted well. Lots of fun.
But maybe it woulda sucked without the ACDC lol
