shit man, that's frustrating to watch. started out not really seeing anything that would make me think that he wasn't anything more than almost out on his feet during the fight in rd. 1. but in between rounds 2 & 3 was pretty telling.

his corner knows their fighter better than anyone & he wasn't ready to answer the bell for round 3. that much should have been obvious to everyone, but def his coach. surprising b/c rufusport is a great gym & highly experienced.

& fight should have stopped during rd. 3. easily. no question of that.

Not sure what authority the doctor had but the ref should have gave a standing count. I also feel the need to acknowledge that I have seen guys take literally 1000x times the punishment(e.g. George Chuvallo) and still be fine. The cornerman was being a dick, the ref fucked up, but lets be honest and recognize this is an abnormal case. Also his friend said he had a really bad weight cut and looked in rough shape going into the fight.

I agree. Just ten years ago no good trainer would've allowed this.
