Nepo is now the clear winner, but its become a 3 way battle for 2nd place. Fabi, Hikaru, and Ding are all tied for 2nd. Also, considering Magnus will quite possibly not defend his title it could set up a new world championship match between Nepo and the 2nd place finisher. Hikaru is a huge twitch streamer who was a big underdog in this tournament so if we get a world championship match with him in it it would be crazy.

He has been world champ for 10 years and is getting bored. Nepo was the challenger last year so probably him being challenger again will make him more bored. He said him might not defend again.
