Alex Ybarra wrote:We ARE really Bad Asses, because we are normal people like all of you. We just happen to have a really cool job on the weekends. It's really fun and when you are working the events you forget about all other problems. I have a bunch of great guys that work with me. We are flattered that you did the funny article on us.

This -

From the looks/sounds of it, Alex is legit and who he says he is. (Or a close affiliate/stalker that really wants his badassedness LOL)

Welcome aboard buddy - we certainly hope you can make a visit from time to time and share some of your experiences from behind the 'big black curtain'. I know how they can be on a smaller circuit, and I have witnessed (little) on the bigger scale. I can only imagine the 'controlled chaos' you guys get to deal with on fight weekends. :)

Spoiler:
By the way, can you pass my video resume to some promoters that need an announcer? :D

Oh yeah, and FWIW - His title is 'Chief Inspector' of the NSAC.

http://boxing.nv.gov/about/Ring_Officials_Inspectors/

Here is a brief snippet of what his job entails :)

The unsung heroes of the Athletic Commission are the inspectors who have one of the most important roles
in unarmed combat, which includes boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts. They work long hours for
little remuneration. The inspectors are responsible to the Chief Inspector who in turn is responsible to the
Executive Director and the Athletic Commission. The inspector shall above all be a good observer,
maintaining a firm calmness even under pressure, totally disciplined, alert while providing the expression of
fitness as well. It is important that the inspector understand the magnitude of his or her responsibilities
when receiving notification from the Athletic Commission for scheduled work. An inspector’s
responsibilities include:
• Attending and overseeing boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts events
• Working in coordination with promoters, event security, and venue personnel
• Overseeing and monitoring the official fighter weigh-ins
• Maintaining control of all locker room activities
• Overseeing all activities during each bout
• Ensuring state laws and regulations are strictly followed by all participants

Yes, I am very familiar with you and your position(s)
Unsung heroes indeed

Tell us some stories!!

What are some of your most memorable/craziest moments? Which fighters/boxers do you get most excited to work alongside? Is MMA/Boxing very different from your side of the stage?

So many questions, such an epic job

Thanks again for sharing with us, forgive me again for my troll-alert :)

Hey Alex, whats the deal with that chick who stares, gropes and touches all the fighters in the ring, I dont know her name, but there are some creepy gifs of her around.
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
