Fuck tha CBC

Postby Masato » Tue Dec 03, 2024 1:42 pm

This is awesome.

In Canada, over a BILLION dollars of taxpayer money goes to the CBC.
Execs make millions in salaries and bonuses etc

However this team has exposed that basically NOBODY is watching, audience for programming is like 0-1%

They also expose tha blatant conflict of interest of having 'journalists' being paid by the government, and how obscene and dangerous this is.

Basically they are just ripping the shit out of any reasons for the CBC to exist. No one can argue.

This is great imo:

Since 2015, the amount of CBC employees that are earning 6 figures and up has increased by 231%."

StatsCan spent a million dollars to produce a podcast that 229 people listened to;

more great stuff;

Law professor
@PardyBruce
tells the Heritage Committee about studying free expression:

"Protect free speech. Do it by getting the government out of the business of supervising speech."

(Liberal Chair Hedy Fry thinks free expression and free speech are two different things?)

Prof
@PardyBruce
to Heritage Committee:

"Your mandate seems to be to inquire into protecting freedom of expression and the asks that I'm hearing are all about govt doing things or subsidizing things or creating more rules and creating more restrictions."

"Those things are the opposite of free speech."

.
@PardyBruce
on Trudeau's swath of censorship bills:
"They're interfering with both the speech, but also the listening of Canadians.
Both have the right to conduct the exchange, the speaker to speak, and the audience to listen.
They give powers to administrators and bureaucrats and offices to interfere in that exchange."
