The End of the WW2 Myth

Postby Luigi » Sat May 24, 2025 4:14 am

Humans tell themselves myths to shape our worldview, but all such myths are eventually replaced. Eventually the myth will fail you. The dominant myth since 1945 is finally starting to stale, and people are noticing.

Oh fuck yes

I don't even know what it's about but I think I can guess.

The WW!! (and WWI) narrative makes me sick sometimes, it has been so grossly perverted and entire generations just ate it up without question.

I am starting to suspect the same is true about several other key wars.

We are living in a mass-deception

Lets wake up

will watch, thx

I have also been listening to US Civil War historians, but from the south. They have a COMPLETELY different story about what that was all about.

We have been taught our whole lives that it was about slavery. 'Lincoln freed the slaves, Lincoln freed the slaves, etc etc" over and over.
So we learn quick that Lincoln and the north/Union were just doing it all because they loved the black folks so much, and the south/Conferderates were all just a bunch of horrible racist inbred slave owners.

It instantly forces us to pick a side. Nobody wants to be a racist, so obviously the North were the good guys, and the South were all bad guys.
Simple! Case closed. The good guys won.

Right?

Winners write the history. This is true imo
But not just a slightly tweaked version of things, with a few details left out here or there... I suspect they re-write it completely. A totally new and deceptive 'mythology' as Luigi called it to mold the world to it's bidding.

The same 'racism' card is played today, across the board; if the government frames all its actions on a platform of 'anti-racism/inclusion/LBGTQ' etc has an instant nuke to any and all competition or critical views; ANYONE who dares oppose the government narrative can instantly be slandered as a racist or bigot. Nobody wants to be publicly shamed as a racist or a bigot, thus everyone goes along with the narrative, wanting to be on the 'good' side, even if it doesn't make sense.

I still haven't watched the video, lol. Maybe I'm disastrously off-topic :D
I'll try to watch soon

Thanks Luigi

The South fought for sovereignty against tyranny. Slavery was the catalyst and one of the main points of protest because their economy was dependant on it and it was to be ended instantly, but of course the right to self determination of a people is reason enough to secede.

Finishing it up

He gets into the demonization of the South USA states around 21:30 :D

So far I don't think he went far enough on WWII, but he's going in the right direction imho

LOL @ his dig on the programmable Canadians around 22:00

One idea that followed me from this vid, is his idea that false myths/worldviews all inevitably crumble. This makes sense/

However in the same way, is it not astonishing that certain mythologies and worldviews endure, and even come back? He talks early in the vid about the resurgence of Christianity. If that were nothing but a false mythology of lies, how could it not have been snuffed out centuries ago? How could SO MUCH artwork and architecture over a millennia or more be inspired by one (false?) worldview? How could it still be inspiring people and coming back to the forefront of our cultural attention?
Just some thoughts.

Gonna finish it up over breakfast here, will come for final thoughts.

Just finished

His ideas about the dangers of the 'anti-story' are enlightening and true.

ie; just because NASA are liars doesn't mean we have to go all flat earth, for example.
Just because WWII narrative is full of lies, doesn't mean we have to go all neo-nazi.

It's a fair warning.

On the other hand he himself seems hesitant to go beyond the narrative that the Nazis were indeed all demons.
He doesn't seem able to admit that maybe they had SOME ideas right, and this may in fact may be the precise reason that they are so utterly demonized to this day.
I do agree that things are coming around again/mythologies are breaking, and hopefully we find a slighter better way of handling things this time.

Good vid overall though, all relevant thoughts & questions.
thanks for the share Luigi
