The Buggy was said to have been powered by batteries, so where are the batteries in the video?

Battery technology in the 60's was still very primitive, and even electric cars in the 1980's were filled with large batteries. Mercedes ditched their electric mini-bus due to the amount of batteries that it required.

they had 2 36v batteries and could actually run on one ^^

they are stored in the rear section according to all the different buggy plans I'm looking at
