It's fuckin weird. Canada is not alone, this is happening all over western countries.

I personally think it's some sort of soft invasion tactic, this is the 'Grand Chessboard' happening in action.

I will watch the full vid, the issue has become quite curious to me lately WTF is going on.
It's very very strange, and if I'm right that it's deliberate/coordinated, it's a really really big deal.

Do you think 'big business' is the leading catalyst here?

There are also NGOs pushing it for ideological reasons. I suspect big business would be more of a catalyst though with figures like Soros who knows. I wish we could know exactly how many Soros type characters there are out there.
