This has to be one of the greatest masterpieces of all time. No matter how many times I hear it the calm beginning creeping into the presto agitato never ceases to stir my spirit.

A good friend I went to highschool with used to dig this song. We'd hang out and draw (he was a frikkin prodigy, my 1st and best teacher) and he would tell me how it was the SADDEST MUSIC EVER lol
Strange cuz he ain't a sad kind of guy, but that's the context I was introduced to the music as
Now I don't hear 'sadness' per se, it's curious that's how he interpreted it
It is brilliant and haunting though. Even more impressive when you consider how simple it is.

The beginning sounds sad, the later parts seem to be thrilling and full of wonder.
