Long weekend is here. Watcha gonna do???????
happy long weekend, losers!
Are you Canadian?
Not sure if you realize, most folks here are not. Don't know if its a long weekend in Thailand, Brazil, Oz etc
I am likely gonna get roped into doing yardwork, lol
To be honest I don't even know what the long weekend is for. Are we celebrating royalty again?

Dude this is Victoria day weekend, the royalty saw fit to give the plebes a day off in honour of that cunt with the superior bloodline who lives in England sucking off the public teat like an alien parasite

It is a long weekend here in Thailand, as it is Visakha Bucha. Visakha Bucha is a religious holiday. The Thai's (and lots of other SE Asia countries) believe that Buddha was Born, gained enlightenment, and died on the same day (many years apart of course) so this holiday is to commemorate that.
Funnily though it changes each year due to the moon cycles. I have asked a few Thai people why this is and they explain that it is because of the old style calendar, when I point out that Buddha would have been born on the same day each year regardless of the moon, some laugh and agree, and others just can't wrap their head around the inconsistency.
We get our long weekend next weekend.

Next explain to them how north, south, east and west operate in outer space. Space cadet.
