I thought everyone hated jarjars, even the kids.

I'm guessing there were those wonderfully innocent little ones uncorrupted by pre-teen "too cool for school" hormones that found the JarJars rather amusing

Usually Indy films are based on actual legends and treasures of history, but I've never heard of it.
In the film it was built by Archimedes

I'll have to do some digging. Has anyone else heard of this prior to the film?
