- Sakuraba was a good kicker. He matched with grapplers very well. He was a excpcional grappler himself. His weakness where tht he fought guys bigger. He didnt matched well with strikers that cound defend against his grappling.
Btw Masato:
- Saku is a pro-wrestler!

Saku is my absolute #1 favorite fighter ever, for many reasons.
And yes Edge I know he is a pro-wrestler, I should totally try to understand more of his PW matches, his character and storylines would be hilarious to learn
That match with Newton was a life-changer... I had been watching UFC already but it wasn't until Sakuraba that I actually wanted to learn grappling. I saw that match with Newton and how he beat some Gracies and was totally mesmerized. I started hunting for a place to learn no-gi grappling because of him. Was also cool because I knew some people who were friends with Newton at the time, he lives around Toronto I made an online comic book with sound FX for him once! lol too bad we lost it, was like a little mini-movie
