What a Shaman Sees in a Mental Hospital

Postby SRBrant » Mon Jun 15, 2015 4:03 pm

A little follow-up statement I wanna make after asking the Kami about this during meditation. The spirit in question identifying herself as "Sova."

I asked her, "why is it that the mentally ill have such divine potential?"

And she replied, "Because their sickness allows them to escape the oppressive norms and paradigms of our society, if not letting them feel firsthand the sickness that we all suffer from unconsciously." They weren't her exact words, but they have the same intent and meaning.

^ WOW, that is beautiful

What is 'Kami'? Still curious how you get specific names like this.

I think the words ring true. I think some sicknesses can unconsciously be self-inflicted by people who don't know any other way of retreating from the 'norms and paradigms of our society'.

It certainly would open much more time for contemplation/reflection/meditation etc. Maybe in this way sickness in old age before death is a blessing, as it slows the transition and gives us warning/time to prepare

Kami means "spirit", "god", "divine", "divinity", etcetera in Japanese.

SR: of all these gods/spirits you have encountered, what has caused you to focus/settle so strongly on Kitsune?

They were the first, really. In all the mysteries, beauties and whispers of the occult, what else provokes more of the sublime, the esoteric and the erotic than the Kitsune? They taught me and guided me. And they continue to do so.

I've only encountered Amaterasu and Y'Yollok, the rest I was simply taught about.

As a rule of thumb, don't contact Y'Yollok. I was meditating in the bath trying to reach him for answers and in response, I got nothing but what sounded like a cackling witch and his silhouette looking down upon me from a white-silver light. He said:

"You are brave, child (I'm 24), but you are a fool to try and comprehend the greater powers that is Y'Yollok!"

^theres a joke in there but i missed it
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
