yo fowler. here is the premiere party for the movie 'singles' which was quasi-based on the seattle music scene & a lot of the musicians had bit roles in the movie. it's a good look @ what "grunge" was about. probably the biggest night for all of these bands (a lot of big shots in attendance) & not one fuck was given. most were WAY too fucked up to play.

one last post & I promise I'll drop the seattle scene.

check this out flatus. cameron crowe filmed 'singles' in seattle & used the club scene @ the time for the backdrop for the movie. here are a couple performances used in the movie that you hear for a bit, but really don't get to see during the film because of wha'ts going on with the between the actors & story. it's a GREAT look @ the seattle scene @ the time. before it exploded. captured & immortalized on film. from the cutting room floor...

Cameron Crowe used to write for Rolling Stone when he was a teenager. Do you remember Lester Bangs? He was sort of like a rock n roll Hunter S Thompson - got fired from Rolling Stone for being 'disrespectful' to musicians. Sort of a pre internet rock n roll troll. Wound up as editor of Creem, which was like the 'Fightsport.com of rock n roll mags.; all trolling and disrespect, and very literate. Punks! He was portrayed by the late actor whose name escapes me at the moment as Cameron Crowe's mentor in Almost Famous.

Read Psychotic Reactions and Carburator Dung sometime if you're interested in Bangs.
