Crazy idea of the day: Lets make a conlang.

So creativity is a big theme in this forum and I am always trying to find new ways to channel creativity and I think making a constructed language would be a cool way to do so. I realize linguistics is not the sexiest of topics and some may have no interest in doing this. If thats the case just let this thread fade into obscurity lol. No worries.

But to anyone interested I think it would be a very interesting creative endeavor. Forming a language as a community like our own is not quite be like when a single person sits down and makes a conlang, nor is it like when a population develops a natural language. It would also be unique because as far as I know, no language has even been a result of a people interacting in cyberspace as opposed to the real world.

What could make the project really interesting is if we try and simulate the development of a natural language. For example, we could at first only use visual images to communicate the meaning of something.

E.g. If I wanted to express that the word for horse should be "Overeem" I would say:

= Overeem.

Lastly, seeing as this is the internet, there should be no rules! If you want to copy a bunch of stuff from english, or any other language, thats fine. If you want to try and make the language sound utterly retarded, thats fine!

So does anyone else think this would be fun?

Its more of a code than a language, but it LOOKS like a language!
It's actually much easier to crack than it looks... visually-strong individuals tend to solve it pretty fast.

Edit: Sorry sometimes i lose myself, you shold buy some gramatic-books, they teach you the rules of the portuguese laguage, i recomend some recents books, they changed the rules a couple of years ago.(again, for the 70 time since i was born.)
You shold give a try, and watch brazilians shows, i recomend Malhação( It's a horrible show, i stoped watching years ago, but there's a lot of hot girls), like Karina Bacci, she did Malhação when i used to watch:

Masato: Thanks for the kind words lol and yes I remember your script from the hyphen thread. I think we should adopt it as the official script of the conlang. Also, as a way to incorporate it into more forms of creativity, we could collectively create a fictional universe in which it is used, akin to the Elvish of Lord of the Rings for example. The story could evolve the same way our comic of chaos did, with each member having the ability to drastically alter the story each step of the way. Fitting with the theme of the site we could even shoop all the scenes, perhaps with mma personalities as characters. I think it would be rediculous, but thats the fun of it!

Edge: Yes I study the Akkadian, Sumerian and Latin languages, and I study linguistics in general and philology as a hobby.

p.s. In regards to the memory issue, it shouldnt be an issue with memory aids such as the internet. We could have a thread that functioned as a dictionary of sorts. I wouldnt mind putting it together.
