Greatest Living Animator? (new short film)

Hey all

fans of classical animation will know the name GLEN KEANE. He was a kid under tutelage of the '9 Old Men' of Disney Golden era, and became a fucking star as the lead animator on Tarzan (some of the most dynamic hand-drawn animation ever imo)

Dude is a badass. Here is a new short film he did:

Was watching something on a hand animators youtube. Was talking about how it could take a single person months to do a couple minutes.

and that old Tarzan game was pretty good

I used to be a huge follower of the flash animation scene. I signed up on Newgrounds.com back in 1999 or 2000. There are a lot of great animators on there, but one guy that really revolutionized everything was Adam Phillips. He was an animator for Disney and worked on a lot of their sequels to big movies. He then started making flash animations and created this world of "Brackenwood." Here is animation from 2011 of his for a musician. It was uploaded before Youtube made the big HD push, so don't think less of it if it isn't as crisp as 1080p.

I also really love old Disney animation like The Old Mill.

It inspired me to do this painting many years ago which remains one of my favorites.

^ that is a great painting!!! Seriously, very cool, especially talking about animation, that would make a great location for a scene in a story

The old mill/Snow White etc IMO they were still learning the craft, figuring out how to do it. It wasn't until the next few films that I think they really started to find their stride (Disney animators)

It's like a paiting, or woodwork or doing a house.
