Ill probably have a few questions on this in the future. Figured some of you guys would have more experience dealing with this stuff

1st question Ive got is if I use this old footage in a monetized video do you think the ufc would have an issue with it if Ive taken out or distort the back ground

Not sure yet how I want to use this. I keep flip flopping ideas between fake movie trailer and street fighter-ish fight that turns into something else.

- I don't know how that work, i think you can use with satirical intents, parody, but don't know if you can use the actual footage, but i don't think you can actually use the footage with finacial intents.

Dude I am in the same boat.

I have no idea about this stuff... but have heard rumors recently of Zuffa suing the fuck out of everyday people.

I'm curious if my comic ever gets any mainstream attention if I will be approached.

My only experience was when I was contacted by 'Choose Your Own Adventure' for this:

They wanted me to change a bunch of shit... I offered to change the title to 'PICK Your own adventure'. They countered and asked for a link in my disclaimer.

I agreed and everyone was cool.

I loved those books so I tried to be as respectful as I could without damaging what I made. I thought it was fair, but this kind of thing opens all kinds of ethical conundrums and philisophical debates.

Maybe Ill just not monetize it and type that its not monetized in the about section and say its art or something. Hopefully they'll be cool and let it slide since Im not an enemy or competitor of the ufc. They might let it slide as free publicity as long as I dont use their name, logo, or unedited footage. From the things that I see that are allowed to stay up, it looks like they put some good thought into who they should and shouldnt go after. Like how they went after the Gracie Breakdown vids, but probably wouldnt have if their dad didnt try to tax the ufc for using Gracie footage in the past

Dont know why, but I just have this huge urge to do something with the old Diego yes cartwheel
