Hey all

this comes from a dude named Pete Yong, go check him out.

I think it's beautiful:
(well, as beautiful as an ugly mug like Dan's can be, lol)

- He looks like a character from Ready to rumble boxing.
He is Sensei Seagull:

It's a very cool design, could be cool se a animation like this

Do any of you guys have any experience or interest in 3d modeling? I've been messing around with 3ds Max and Blender with the intention of eventually making graphics for games. I know it's going to take at least a year's worth of practice before I can even think about making something to go in a game, but so far the beginner learning stages are really fun, and it's very interesting to see the capabilities even of a completely free program like Blender.

I don't have any follow up. I'm just wondering if any other New F7 Crew members are interested in this stuff.

I might get there one day. I only just the recently started learning 3d basics with after effects after a lot of hours put in for the past 2 or 3 months. Since you say blender is free I will have to put it on my list of things to check out and possibly learn. There is a lite version of the program Cinema 4d in after effects that I just looked into for the 1st time a couple days ago that does assorted 3d stuff. Not even sure yet of what all it can do yet. Each program has such a huge learning curve. I know the feeling of looking at a mountain of a new program to learn.

I spent a long time working with the unreal engine and had a ton of designs on ut2k4. I did some of my own models and textures and stuff. unsure if anyone even plays unreal much anymore. its been a long time. I actually recently went back into some of the levels and tweaked out some errors and pathing and stuff. I really do enjoy it, but my wife doesn't as it eats up so much time.

Ill post some pictures in a bit.

Graphics still look great for a 2004 game.

Unreal 2004 comes with the full software editing suite as part of the package, I taught myself to use it, and i also used 3ds max as well for some models, it damn near ended my marriage, glad i got out of it :D if anyone has ut2004 i can send them the actual level to play.
